Third Sector Partnership

The Third Sector Partnership is one of the eight thematic partnerships within the Local Strategic Partnership.

The partnership works for:
“..an environment in which the Third Sector can thrive so that Citizens have: A real voice that is listened to; services that meet their needs; and an equal stake in the life of the City”.

The partnership is open to any of the following:
  • Charities and other voluntary organisations
  • Community groups
  • Networks
  • User led organisations
  • Social Enterprises
  • Housing associations
Partner organisations from outside the third sector who are supportive of the partnerships vision can become co-opted members.

The partnership is not open to individuals.

The full partnership meets bi-monthly and considers a range of issues strategies and policies as they effect and can be influenced by the third sector.
More focused work is carried out by small “task and finish” groups.

The partnership elects representatives onto the LSP stakeholder board and has nominations to the Executive board. Members also sit on other thematic partnerships.
