Moderation Policy
This moderation policy has been established so that everyone can get the most out of the discussion forums.
The discussion forums on this site are a moderated facility and as such all posts must comply with the Moderation Policy. By registering on www.wton-partnership.org.uk you agree to abide by the following Policy:
Unless otherwise stated all posts and new discussions (threads) will be checked by a Moderator prior to posting in a discussion. This means that there may be some delay in your post being displayed in a discussion, every attempt will be made to post your messages as soon after you have submitted it as possible. Each discussion will have its own Moderator who will check all posts prior to posting to make sure that discussions are safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Bear in mind that this is a site for public sector agencies in Wolverhampton and in general topics should relate to life in Wolverhampton or the services provided by any of the Wolverhampton Partnership partner organisations.
In all discussion forums, it is a matter of trust that participants openly declare any relevant interest they have in a subject. For example, in a discussion about 'roads and pavements' an employee of say, the Council, whose role covers this topic, when taking part in the discussion, should declare this role.
Advertising is not normally allowed, except where it is for an event, publication or product of direct relevance to the discussion. Moderators will always check any reference to promotional information and it will be subject to normal moderation policy.
All links included in posts must be relevant and appropriate to the discussion, that it will not lead to unacceptable websites or pages which are likely to cause offence to other participants. All links will be checked and approved by a Moderator prior to posting.
Stay on topic, remember that Moderators will try to steer the debate so that it stays relevant to the thread and avoid too many tangents.
Always try to address particpants arguments with courtesy and respect. Personal attacks, obscenities and mindless abuse of others (including any of Wolverhampton Partnerships partner agenices) will not be posted to any discussion. This includes posts including sarcasm as they can be easily misinterpreted online.
Racism, sexism or homophobia and other forms of discriminatory behaviour are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Party political views will not be posted onto the discussion forums.
Links to third party sites may be posted in discussion forums and will be screened by the Moderator for security reasons. All links must be relevant to the discussion they are posted in. No links deemed as advertising will be posted by the moderators.
Never give away personal information in a discussion. If you want to make contact with another participant contact the e-Panel manager.
If you think a participant or a Moderator is in breach of the Moderation Policy or any 'house rules', you should send an email to the e-panel manager, who will consider the matter and let you know what action has been taken. Any complaints posted to discussions will not be posted.
This Policy is subject to change without notice. Specific discussion forums may have their own 'house rules' for discussions.
Wolverhampton Partnership or any of its partner organisations reserves the right to reproduce postings for internal uses.
Failure to comply with this Policy will result in the moderator rejecting posts and returning to the sender.
