Local Area & Neighbourhood Arrangements (LANA) Relationships between service providers and local communities are changing. Local people are much more aware: they have higher expectations about the kinds of services they want; they want greater choice and much more say and involvment in decisions about how services are delivered to meet their needs. Local Area and Neighbourhood Arrangements (LANAs) provide the means for local communities throughout Wolverhampton to work with service providers and commissioners in shaping the design, planning and delivery of public services.LANAs overall aim is to empower local people in shaping public services. This means more informed and engaged communities participating in decision making and working with service providers in designing, delivering and monitoring services.LANAs have established 15 Local Neighbourhood Partnerships (LNPs) across the City (see map below highlighting the 15 LNPs) bringing together all the interests in the area: local people, local community groups, councillors, voluntary and community sector partners and public sector organisations. You can now access Your Local Neighbourhood Partnerships webpages - click on the relevant LNP below to find out more:
Each Local Neighbourhood Partnership (LNP) has produced a Neighbourhood Action Plan which will bring together key priorities and actions for each area. These plans will build on existing plans for local areas and will take account of the views of all groups within the local area. For contact details about your local LNP click here.
