Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Bilston East LNP, my name is Steve Simkins and I've been a member of the LNP since it began.  I am very new to the job of Chair of the Bilston LNP, having been elected on 12th March 2012.  I am looking forward to working with the community groups across Bilston East and to say that the LNP welcomes the input, comments and views from local residents.

Bilston East LNP has a number of priorities it will continue to be working on with the help and support of local residents and our partner agencies.  Bilston East is one of the areas undertaking Neighbourhood Planning which will involve the LNP working alongside local planning officers to ensure local businesses, residents and service providers are involved in the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for the area.  Bilston East LNP will continue to hold regular meetings to inform and involve residents across the area on issues that affect us all.

Your LNP

The Bilston East LNP aims to improve the lives of local people by involving them in decisions about how services are delivered locally.
The Local Neighbourhood Partnership brings together local people (both individuals and those representing community and voluntary groups), businesses, service providers and elected ward Councillors to work in partnership to make lasting improvements to the neighbourhood.
The Local Neighbourhood Partnership meets regularly throughout the year to address the LNP priorities and the LNP Board is made up of a representative group of people from this wider Partnership. The Board works with LNP staff and service providers to co-ordinate , oversee and progress work of the LNP. More information on the LNP Governance Arrangements is available by clicking the highlighted text
LNP members receive regular information and are invited to Partnership meetings, including Annual General Meetings.
