Welcome

Wolverhampton Partnership was established in 2002 as the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Wolverhampton.

The role of the Partnership is to provide a forum where leading local organisations can agree the priorities for the city based on what residents, and other indicators tell us is important and needs improving.

The Partnership includes representatives from health, police and fire, education, city council, business, voluntary and community sectors.   They work together to make sure our shared priorities for the city are achieved.

We hope you enjoy browsing the website which will provide you with further information about the partnership, our aims for the future, the organisations that  we work with, how to get involved and much more.  To view the Partnership's full membership list click here.

Improving your city

We have been revising the document which sets out the vision for what the city will look like in 2026 and our main priorities over that time. It's called the City Strategy. Think of the City Strategy as a road map, setting out a clear sense of direction for Wolverhampton over the next fifteen years. It's also a plan for how we can breathe new life into our city by working together.

During the last twelve months, the Partnership's Executive Board has led the refresh of the strategy. The starting point was to look at some of the big issues affecting the city, to review statistics about the city and our past performance. Feedback from local people and views from partners and stakeholders also played an important part in developing the new strategy.

As a result of your involvement, the City Strategy gives equal weight to economy, people and places. Your contributions have helped to form ideas about specific themes and ways of working. You have also influenced our priorities - the most important things the city should focus on and our actions -  what we will do, and how we will do it, to achieve our goal of prosperity for all.

The City Strategy was launched on Monday 17 October 2011 click here to view a summary copy.
